Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes The Graduate Project’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2026.

Modern slavery is a crime and a serious violation of fundamental human rights. It can take many forms, including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. The Graduate Project has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and relationships. We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers, and business partners.

The Graduate Project is a UK-based recruitment consultancy providing graduate and professional recruitment services. Our services include candidate screening and placement, online recruitment and distance learning, and public programmes supporting young people and disadvantaged groups into sustainable employment. We employ approximately 100 people across the United Kingdom and deliver services to work-seekers and employers nationwide.

Our company values of Trust, Integrity, Pride, and Expertise guide our operations and underpin our commitment to fairness, equality, and transparency across all aspects of our work and supply chains.

Our supply chains primarily include candidate sourcing platforms, technology providers, office suppliers, marketing agencies, and professional service firms. We require all suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and adopt the same zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery that we uphold. As part of our supplier management process, we are introducing specific anti-slavery clauses into contracts and ensuring suppliers confirm compliance with all relevant legislation.

The Graduate Project maintains a dedicated Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy, reflecting our commitment to ethical business conduct. This policy applies to all individuals working for or on behalf of The Graduate Project, including employees, directors, agency workers, contractors, interns, and business partners. It is supported by related internal policies such as our Code of Conduct, Whistleblowing Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy, and Supplier Code of Ethics.

To help prevent and address modern slavery risks, we conduct appropriate background checks, review supplier practices, and maintain oversight of our recruitment and supply processes. Awareness of modern slavery and ethical conduct forms part of our internal training and communications for all staff, with line managers receiving additional guidance to identify and report potential risks.

We regularly review the effectiveness of our policies and procedures to ensure they remain robust. Where improvements are identified, we take immediate steps to strengthen our approach.

This statement has been approved by the Director of The Graduate Project on 8th October 2026 and signed by the Managing Director, Tolga Alkansoy.

It will be reviewed and updated annually and published on our website from 22nd October 2026 to ensure ongoing compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
